Rory and Sadie's Teatime

"The B-day Gift"

Our friend turned 29 in January. She asked for money. A practical gift to ask. But we decided to make the gift special by adding some lovely homemade goodies!
Because let’s face it…these kind of gifts are the best! Handmade, crafty or personal gifts tell that special someone you care and put thought into the gift.
We filled up a heart shaped purple basket with Homemade Strawberry Jam, Lavender Sachets, Lavender and Rose Tea, Lavender Soap and our lovely Homemade Lavender and Rose Hand scrub!
The combination of Lavender and Rose is just define and darling as it has a vintage flowery charm to it.
This time we will share with you our tutorial on how to make:
Homemade Lavender and Rose Handscrub

This is what you need:

·         A bowl
·         A spoon
·         A handblender
·         Half a cup of olive oil
·         One cup of crystal Sea Salt
·         Lavender essential oils
·         Rose essential oils
·         A jar
·         Dried lavender
·         Dried rose

Step 1.
Add the salt to your bowl and mix in the oil with a wooden spoon.

Step 2.
Tap in the essentiel oils (5-25 drops) We added 10 rose drops and 15 lavender drops to get the scent we wanted.
Step 3.
Mix and crush the salt, oil and essentials oils together with a handblender. The salt needs to be fine and the texture of the scrub silky and smooth.

Step 4.
Now mix some dried lavender leaves to the mixture with a wooden spoon. Add as much as you like. This adds an extra lovely smell to the mixture and it now looks even prettier.

Step 5.
Fill your jar with some lovely red or pink dried roses and on top of that you scrub mixture. We added a piece of lace fabric and some soft pink ribbon to the lid for a vintage feel. But feel free to decorate your jar as you like.

There you go. Easy peasy!

Lots of love,
Rory and Sadie xx
